The challenge
The whole scholarship application process was done manually and we needed to replace it with the online scholarship application system. We needed to make sure that students can easily apply online for the scholarship and guide them through the entire application process. On the other hand, we needed to make sure that reviewers can track status of applicant, easily communicate with each others, invite applicants to interviews and on the end reward applicants with the scholarship.
Lastly, we had to ensure that the platform, we've implemented would translate well across all devices with Responsive Design to maintain the same great user experience for everyone.
The Solution
The solution is an online application system that comprises four main components: a powerful CMS-driven admin area, a back-end for applicants, back-end for reviewers, and a promo website that showcases the system and allows users to easily sign up or log in.
The application runs on top of Store4 and enables administrators to effortlessly configure all aspects of the web platform, including system settings, users, subscriptions, themes and styles, and more.
Applicants can with ease, following a couple of easy steps, submit their application and check for the application process status. We’ve also create a applications dashboard were reviewers can track application statuses, invite applicants to interviews, check for recommendations and much more.
Conclusion
We have designed a unique mobile-first application scholarship system for UWC that is fueled by the simple-to-use yet powerful content management system Store4. We delivered solution on budget and within four months!
