The challenge
We had to create classified ads portal with a huge range of new and used fishing tackle from rods and reels to many items of terminal tackle. We needed to allow users to register or connect via their social network account. Also, the ability for users to narrow down their search to find exactly what you’re looking for within a particular category, price range, location and item condition was a must have. And, the client requested that all members can post classified posts on the portal and sell their goods.
The Solution
After checking all client requirements we've decided to choose Woocommerce. The site is designed to be fully responsive with a good user experience across a range of devices. Our strong focus was on the site marketing, so we've created a standing home page, blog and fully integrated Mailchimp for the e-mail marketing.
Users are able to register with their email account or via their social network accounts. We also made sure that the user can create ads conveniently on our eye-catching ad form. We also implemented a pricing section connected with the clients PayPal account. Users are able to choose between several pricing packages which vary from a single basic listing up to an enhanced package to boost exposure and cover all areas to maximise the number of enquiries about their item.
However, our main focus on development stage was classified ads section. We implemented advanced search bar, which allows users to search categories with advanced filters such as price range, location and item condition.
Each classified ad contains information about product, gallery, bidding and contact section.
The Conclusion
We've created an eye catchy classified ads portal for the fishing tackle industry. Portal works across all devices and it is really to navigate. Also, the client has a great set of tools to manage ads, content and structure of the site.
